1. Take Your Vitamins
One thing we’ve been into lately is Care / Of’s personalized daily vitamin packs! It’s pretty simple, you take a short quiz and they recommend you vitamins. We’ve been taking them for a few months now and we’re feeling as fresh and focused as ever!
2. Journal Every Morning
Everyone has some way to feel balanced and zen. For me, that’s writing for 20-30 minutes in my journal. Sometimes, I write in a stream of consciousness just to get everything out of my head and onto paper. Other times, I use Danika Bryshra’s “self care checklist” as a mini framework of what to write about. Either way, it leaves me feeling energized and refreshed!
3. Make Working Out Fun
The gym and I never quite hit it off. Sometimes fancy hotel gyms can inspire me, but most of the time, it’s fleeting. But I own it! I use Classpass to find my favorite pilates and barre workouts but my secret passion is Doonya (Bollywood Cardio) and 305 Fitness (Miami inspired with a LIVE DJ!).
4. Carve Out “You” Time
I’m a total extrovert. An ENFJ and ARIES to be exact, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy some time to myself. Sometimes, I pick up a book and read. Other times, I give a new hobby much needed attention (lately, this has been taking things up a notch in the kitchen!). Everyone needs time and space to drift off into daydreams or perfect a skill, so don’t forget to take it!
5. Don’t Forget to Indulge
For the longest time, I’d feel “guilty” for eating something unhealthy or spending an extra couple of hours out with friends instead of home working. I began to forgive myself and truly enjoy those moments where I was indulging - whether it was ordering the extra scoop (albeit unnecessary) of ice cream or prioritizing a last minute social event, when I live in the moment and enjoy every minute of that indulgence, I re-enter my “productive” sessions a lot more focused and rejuvenated.
